The East Avenue Inn & Suites Rochester, Rochester

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms looked recently done, they were smaller than expected and lacked sufficient lighting, giving a dingy and dark feel. On the positive side, the service was excellent, with staff going out of their way to assist, though some lacked a bit in customer-facing skills. The location was ideal for my visits, but the dining options were limited to the standard buffet-style choices. The hotel is in the process of updating its facilities.

The hotel's location was perfect for our visits to the Eastman School of Music and University of Rochester, river campus, allowing us to park our car and easily walk to nearby restaurants. Although the breakfast options were nothing special, the make-your-own waffles were a nice touch. The facilities were great, offering everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
